Hand-cutting of the materials
with the mosaic hammer and the hardie.
Preparation of the lime
bedding.
3rd. Day
Temporary application of
the tesserae to the lime bedding.
4nd.Day
Glueing, lifting and cleaning
of the back of the mosaic.
5nd.Day
Relaying of the mosaic onto
a permanent support and finishing.
Final discussion on the
completed mosaics.
Programme
of the advanced class - "Byzantine copy with glass stone"
1st. Day
Learning of the direct method
of application on cement or resin bedding spread onto a traditional or
personalized support.
Stone for stone tracing
of a Byzantine copy (size cm.30x30)
2nd. Day
Hand-cutting of the glass
materials with the "widiam"mosaic hammer.
Preparation of the glue.
Imprint of the tracing.
Permanent application of
the tesserae to the support.
3rd. Day
Permanent application of
the tesserae to the support.
4nd. Day
Permanent application of
the tesserae to the support.
5nd. Day
Mosaic cleaning, coloring
of the interstices, execution of a final plaster.
Final discussion on the
completed mosaics.
Completed mosaics remain the property of the partecipants
(further works are not included in the course fee and are submitted
to additional payment)
